Terms of Service

By accessing or using the StepBuilds platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers who access or use the Service operated by StepBuilds ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").

StepBuilds provides an AI-powered document intelligence platform that extracts structured data from invoices, bills, purchase orders, and similar financial documents, and delivers that data to clients in machine-readable formats. The Service includes:

• Automated document data extraction
• Structured data delivery via API, CSV, or JSON export
• Document template management
• User and role management for enterprise teams

To access the platform, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access at contact@stepbuilds.com

You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when registering. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload documents you do not have the legal right to process
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service
• Transmit malicious code, viruses, or any software intended to damage the platform
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent

You retain full ownership of all documents you upload to the platform. By uploading documents, you grant StepBuilds a limited, non-exclusive licence to process those documents solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

All software, algorithms, interfaces, and branding of StepBuilds are the exclusive intellectual property of the Company and may not be copied, modified, or distributed without written permission.

We process your documents and extracted data strictly as a data processor acting on your instructions. We do not use your document content for any purpose other than delivering the Service. Refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.

Certain features of the Service may require payment. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay all applicable fees as described on our pricing page. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.

We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price changes take effect.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StepBuilds shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Extraction results will be 100% accurate in all cases
• The Service will meet all of your specific business requirements

You are responsible for verifying extracted data before use in critical business processes.

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at contact@stepbuilds.com.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Surat, Gujarat, India.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
